Not Drugs – Art, Graffiti, Music and Culture for the Almost Grown-Up

So, as you can tell, here at Not Drugs, things have been slow, publically.

What that means is that even though we aren’t posting, pretty much, at all, we are still working to revamp Not Drugs to become more suitable for what we want, and for what we think you want.

From now until mid to late August, Not Drugs will be posting pretty infrequently, because we’re working to modify ourselves and solidify ourselves for what we really want Not Drugs to be.

We thank you for your patience, and we hope that you can stick by us during this short period of time.

Come the Re-Up…you won’t regret it.

I happened to be waiting for the subway late some Wednesday night, with a couple in my system, and the train was no where in sight. So some people decided to provide some entertainment while we all waited. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

If you’ve ever checked my bio page, I have links to a bunch of videos I’ve worked on in the past 2+ years. If you’ve been following Not Drugs, I’ve also been a big contributor to the video aspect of this site. After a couple of months of toying with a new language, I’ve finally been able to take all of that stuff and place it under one home, Fireworks At Skyharbor Productions.

This production company is me, with the help of various cohorts, and what goes on in my head. I focus in non-fiction works, mainly in the pop culture field, but also in social conscious works. I also partake in alternative music videos, consisting of already existing footage edited into a new perspective.

Fireworks at Skyharbor Productions is a side project off of the Not Drugs idea, and I encourage everyone to check out the website, www.fireworksatskyharbor.com, and see what you think of my stuff. And also, for updates, become a fan on facebook of Fireworks at Skyharbor Productions, and be in the loop of Not Drugs and Fireworks at Skyharbor visual works.

And be on the look out for some cool stuff to pop soon. I’m venturing to the state’s capital to visit Winn, and joining us is T Shea and his posse, for a weekend of havoc. I’m sure we’ll have much to share when it’s all said and done.

I don’t have much to say, but I don’t have nothing to say. Basically, this post is meant for one purpose and one purpose only…

…to get rid of that annoying music. Newberg gave us a challenge, to post as much as we could in order to rid us, and you, of the music that plagued Not Drugs. And with this post, victory has been taken. Thank you Newberg, with how annoying the song was, is how much we have succeeded.

So last week I had the distinct pleasure of attending the third annual Ithaca Brewfest. Some of my favorite local and national breweries were in attendance including the Ithaca Beer Co. and Saranac as well as some more well known breweries like Yeungling, Newcastle and Blue Moon. My personal best in show had to go to the nearby Horsehead Brewery who made a delicious Jalapeno Beer which sounds disgusting but was fantastic.  Above all else everyone there had a great time.  The place was packed, the music was bumpin’, the food was delicious, and of course the beer was flowin’.  Oddly enough everyone there seemed to have a unified message for me:

This is going to be short because the video pretty much speaks for itself. There’s some sort of end coming, tomorrow, July 25th, 2009. After tomorrow, who knows what’s in store for us, you, and we, as a people.
